Objectives of the Assessment

The assessment has been set to facilitate the development of firm knowledge of the different issues influencing the effective management of innovation and demonstrate the ability to apply relevant concepts to practice.

Brief

Many public, voluntary and commercial organisations are challenged to deliver innovative solutions at a faster pace in response to changing attitudes and needs of their stakeholders and the drive for more sustainable projects.

Project managers are challenged to create climate, within the projects team as well as the supply chain, that supports innovation and promotes the creation and implementation of new ideas to meet sustainability goals.

Guide

This guide provides a detailed framework, as a guide, for the research needed for the assessments.

Task 1: Undertake a literature review and provide a critical analysis of the challenges, drivers, and opportunities for the adoption of innovative technologies to deliver more sustainable projects.

Task 2: Review and critique the literature and conceptual models that researchers have developed to explain how to create a climate for innovation that would enable and motivate project managers, project team members and supply chain to be more innovative.
