Part one

The course is Health Informatics, and the Module objectives is Health Information Technology Governance

We will use news articles in this course to stay engaged and current on various healthcare informatics news topics this week.

For this Assignment:

1. Please submit a reflective post to the blog informing your classmates and me what you learned from your news source and relate that to the course, module objectives, and any experiences you had.
2. Please read your classmates' blog postings and respond to them like you would for discussions.
3. If you are using Twitter, include your Twitter handle so others can follow you. Twitter is not required.
4. Post one to two paragraphs per submission (about Two hundred and filthy words) to tell us the key takeaways from the news you read.

• You may draw current news from any sources as long as the news has been reported within the module week or is on the topic of the Module.

• Be sure to read your classmates' blog postings and try to comment on your classmates' posts.
• Your reflective post should not replicate the content in the news item but rather, demonstrate your critical thinking skills and personal perspective. Please try to limit your post limit to about two hundred and filthy words and eight to ten sentences and don't forget references.
• Please continue to research relevant organizations, initiatives, or experts to follow or track early this week and share a few with your classmates so others may get some ideas of who to follow.

Part two

The technology taskforce is concerned that they are not fully aware of how information flows for key processes. They want to make sure that this is addressed during the software development life cycle. You propose to design data flow diagrams to show how they can contribute to addressing this concern during the system development lifecycle. You will begin by selecting a healthcare or public health process relevant to the health information system you selected in Part A. Describe the process and depict the data flow using DFD diagrams. You will develop a level 0, level 1, and level 2 diagram. (guidance, level 1 diagram should include about twice as much detail as level 0, and level 2 should include at least 2 times as much detail as level 1). You will create a presentation to show how you developed your diagrams, show the outcomes (show the visual of each diagram), and discuss the diagrams.

Part Three

In this course you have learned about a variety of topics, methods, tools, and information systems specific to Health Informatics. In this discussion, we would now like each student to think of some emerging areas such as AI, data science, machine learning, robotics, etc. and identify a very specific technology or propose a specific technology. Discuss the following topics in at least five hundred words:

1. What specific health problem will it contribute to addressing?
2. What related social and behavioral aspects of health are important to consider in relation to the health problem?
3. Describe the specific technology
4. Describe the interrelatedness of social, business, human factors, behavioral, and information sciences and technology in the design, implementation, and evaluation of the technology you selected.
5. What specific health information or biomedical problem can it solve?
6. How will it solve the health information or biomedical problem?
7. What are the advantages and limitations of using data science or information technology to solve the biomedical or health information problems?
8. Who are the stakeholders (name at least two)?
9. What are the needs of the different stakeholders?
