The new official formula for calculating the wind chill factor from the National Weather Service is W = 35.74 + 0.6215 T - 35.75 (V^0.16) + 0.4275 T(V^0.16) where W is the wind chill adjusted temperature, T is the air temperature in Fahrenheit, and V is the wind velocity in miles per hour.
