Preliminary work has been done on a process to recover a valuable chemical from a packed column. The major items of equipment are listed below. 1). Absorption column: diameter 1 'm, vessel height 30 m, packed height 26 m, packing 50 mm ceramic saddles, vessel carbon steel, operating pressure 5 atm. 2). Condenser: fixed tube sheets, area 30 m, carbon steel shell and Brass tubes, operating pressure 1 atm. 1 atm. 3). Two centrifugal pumps; 10 kW power, Cast steel, delivery pressure 60 barg. 4). Reboiler: fixed tube sheets, area 20 m, SS shell and SS tubes, operating pressure 5). Solvent and product storage tanks: fixed roof, capacity 60 m, carbon steel.
