Problem 6: Cost of Production Report

Mara uses weighted-average process costing. It had the following data in August.

Beginning inventory, 60% complete	10,000 units
Units completed	50,000 units
Units in ending inventory, 40% complete	5,000 units
Cost of beginning inventory	P105,000
Current period production costs	P831,000

Requirements: Present solutions in good accounting form. Excel form would be good! Account titles on the left, Amounts on the right. Avoid parenthethical solutions.

A. Compute the equivalent unit production for August.

B. Compute the unit cost for August.

C. Compute the ending inventory of work in process.

D. Compute the cost transferred to finished goods.
