A local school is hosting the annual inter school swimming carnival. You have been informed that there will be 80 staff in attendance, and the host school would like to provide a cup of hot chips to each staff member during the day.

Each cup of hot chips will weigh 250g. Your waste trim is 200g per 5kg.

a)You need to calculate the total amount of potatoes in kg that you are going to require. This needs to include the waste trim. You will be able to calculate the amount using mental maths or a calculator.

b)If each cup of hot chips were to cost $5.00 and each kg of potatoes $6.50. What would the total profit be? (remember your waste trim)
