You have been meeting with a client every week for about three months. This client has been discussing issues of depression, anxiety, and stress as it relates to recently ending a long-term romantic relationship. Recently, you have started to notice that you are experiencing feelings of romantic and sexual attraction towards your client. You are thinking about this client outside of session and notice excitement every time they meet with you for session. You know that this is a breach of professional therapeutic boundaries that could potentially harm the relationship.
