Bob provided the following additional information:

-Bob lives at 2010 Sundance Court, El Paso, TX 79933.

-Bobs birthday is 5/2/1975 and his Social Security number is 552-65-0078.

- Bob does not have any foreign bank accounts or trusts, nor did he have any transactions with virtual

(crypto) currency.

2. Bob received a Form W-2 from Rochester Law Firm (his employer) that contained the following

information:

Wages: $20,000

Federal income tax withheld: 1,600

Social Security tax withheld: 1,240

Medicare tax withheld: 290

State income tax withheld: 0

3. Bob received $380 in interest from Western States Bank and $320 in interest from Morgan Stanley. He

also received a $1,300 dividend from Butler Corp. and a $250 dividend from Town House Inc. Both

dividends were qualified dividends. Dont forget to sum the qualified dividends and enter them on line 3a

and line 3b. You will need to compute the tax liability through the Qualified Dividend Worksheet because

you have two types of income at this point (ordinary and qualified dividends).

4. In 2019 Bob inherited a house from his parents. The house is in 311 Richardson St., El Paso, 79902. The

fair market value on the date he inherited the property was $270,000. Bob placed this property for rental

and manages it himself, although he is not a real estate professional. His rental income for the year was

$43,000.

The property-tax bill indicates that the land on this property is valued at $80,000 and the house

(real estate) is valued at $190,000.

Bob has depreciated the house using the MACRS tables and conventions applicable to residential
