Have you done academic research before, maybe in ENG $101$ or in earlier English classes? What did that entail? Where did you find articles, and how did you determine their credibility? Was it necessary for you to use peer$-$reviewed academic articles or books, or were you allowed to use pop$-$culture sources? What was your research on$?$

Many of you have likely never done academic research$--$which is great and the reason that we are here!

What do you think is important about doing research? What do you think is a good method for finding, evaluating, and citing sources? Have you ever read academic articles or know what the difference between an academic article and a pop$-$culture source is $($if not, that is totally fine!$)?$ Have you ever done personal research, like trying to find a new location to live, a new job, veterinarian, etc? What was your process like when researching for new locations, jobs, or vets?
