Select an interesting, debatable topic from this module you would like to learn more about.Here are some potential topics, although you may choose your own:

• Risk taking behavior
• Sex and health education
• Use of social media
• Body dissatisfaction
• Identity development
• Peer pressure

Step 3: Do some background research, and find at least two articles that provide more insight into the topic. Make sure the articles you select are recent (i.e., within the past 5 years) and reliable (i.e., high-quality research that is reproducible and transparent). Avoid information that may be of low-quality and/or biased. Some examples of reliable information from national organizations that focus on child development include:

Step 4: Pick out at least 3 interesting facts from your research and at least 2 useful visuals (e.g., pictures, charts, graphs, etc.).

Step 5: Use your facts and visuals to create an interesting presentation, such as a poster or infographic, so that an outside observer could quickly learn at least three new things by looking at it. For example, pretend you are creating a poster for a school hallway. You want it to attract people's attention (i.e., be visually appealing) and teach them something within just a few seconds of looking at it. Make sure your presentation includes at least two images (pictures, charts, graphs, etc.) and three written facts. You can present both sides of the "debate" on your presentation (e.g., the pros and cons of social media use among adolescents), or you can focus on just one side.

Please do not feel overwhelmed by creating a presentation. You can think of it as making a simplified "poster" about the topic. You may design the poster in any medium you desire, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Photoshop, or one of the following programs:

Step 6: Include your references in APA format either at the bottom of your presentation or on a separate page. You must include at least two references.
