Sprinkles Ice Cream Shoppe wants to Expand!

Martha is really impressed with all your work so far! She has just found out that there is a shop in the shopping center where she plans to open where the owner is looking to sell his bakery. BakeIT! Has been around for three years and the owner sells Muffins, Donuts and Bagels.

Martha wants you to look at their numbers and help her decide if this is the kind of business that would work well with hers and she might consider taking on BakeIT!s products as part of Sprinkles.

Analysis/Pivot Tables

1. Use the attached Excel data picture below to analyze and create the appropriate pivot tables needed to provide the appropriate information for the following. Place each pivot table on its own worksheet and label each appropriately for each:

a. Which products are the best selling products in each category (Donuts, Muffins, and Bagels per year? (Hint: this will require a breakdown for both the units sold and the dollar value sold)

b. Which products are our best based on total sales per year?

c. Which products are our most profitable per year? (Hint: This requires a calculation for

each sale)

2. Analyze and create a pivot table for each of the scenarios.
