Stella partnered with Water.org, it seems counterintuitive to me since so much water gets used to produce beer. Similar to carbon footprints, water footprints track the amount of water needed to produce goods. For example with beer, it's not just the water that makes its way into the bottle, but all of the water needed to grow the barley and other ingredients, the water used to make the glass and paper, etc.

According to the Wall Street Journal, it takes about 20 gallons of water to produce 1 pint of beer (Alter, 2009). Being that access to water is top of mind in South Africa, do you think their collaboration with water.org will be embraced by consumers in that area? I think it's risky since they're so sensitive to the issue of water usage. It could be embraced because of this, or it could also backfire if their perspective on the collaboration comes across as shallow, insulting or obtuse. What do you think?
