activities

Instructions: You are required to perform different management activities in the workplace and place records

of these activities in a file. The file can be divided in the following sections:

Section $1$: Theories of motivation

Provide a short review of at least $3$ theories of motivation that can impact in the workplace.

Section $2$: Identify your team.

This includes a name list with personal and contact details of all members as well as their signatures.

Section $3$: Manage a diverse workforce.

This includes an analysis of diversity in your team $($differences and similarities$)$ and an explanation of

the benefits of this diversity of your team.

Insert evidence of an activity in which you managed your team, taking similarities and differences

into account. Evidence can include planning documents, emails and letters etc.

Section $4$: Deal with conflict in the workplace

This includes evidence of a specific incidence of conflict that you managed within the team.

The evidence must show how you identified the conflict situation and the strategy implemented to

resolve it$.$ Evidence can include minutes of meetings and feedback reports.

Section $5$: Empower team members through:

Recognising their individual performance

Delegating tasks to them

Involving your members in group decisions

The evidence that you submit should be relevant to each task and must include $($but are not limited to$)$:

Minutes and attendance registers of all meetings

Proof of all other interactions with stakeholders $($emails etc.$)$

Planning documents

You must attach all your preparation and rough work.

Time allocations: Please take note of the time allocations listed below to assist you with completing the

activity. Please note these are guidelines taken from the credit value of the unit standard and are set for the

average learner.

Preparation and research: $92$ hours

Workplace coaching: $24$ hours

Portfolio compilation: $12$ hours
