The project consists of a one story steel structure. Building plan is depicted in figure 1, where L1 and L2 are the plan dimensions. Structure is strengthened by bracing along elevations A, D, 2, and 4 to resist horizontal loading. Figures 2, and 3 show the bracing arrangement within the elevations. Height of the story is 18 ft. The structure is under different types of loadings, including dead load, roof live load, snow load, and wind load. Spacing details and required dimensions along with loading information are provided in table 1. The list of deliverables for every team that should be submitted through blackboard by Sunday, December 12th includes: - A building roof plan including the names of the designed bracings, compression and flexural members (using AutoCAD suggested). - A spreadsheet including the shear and moment diagrams. - A spreadsheet used for design of columns. - A spreadsheet used for design of beams. - One sample hand calculations for design of beams. - One sample hand calculations for design of columns. - One sample hand calculations for design of bracings
