The Tubes Company uses NORMAL costing as part of its job-order costing system. The company charges overhead to jobs using direct labor cost. Estimated overhead cost for 2018 is $150, 000, and the estimated direct labor cost for 2018 is $50, 000. Thus, the predetermined overhead rate for 2018 is 3. 00. The company has 2 units from Job 30 in the beginning inventory of Finished Goods Control for 2018, and each unit has a cost of $6,000. The beginning Work in Process Control for 2018 has a balance of $9,000(all charged to Job 42). During 2018, the company worked on 3 jobs. The production costs charged to these jobs during 2018 are as follows(note that I have already put the allocated overhead onto the jobs for you):

--------------------------Job 42 ----Job 53 --Job 64

Direct material cost: $19.000 $26,000 $17,000 Direct labor cost: $18.000 $16.000 $14,000 Allocated overhead: $54.000 $48.000 $42.000

Units on completed job: 4, 10, N/A

Actual overhead cost incurred during 2018 was S147, 000. Job 42 and Job 53 were completed during 2018 Job 64 was unfinished as of the end of 2018. The company sold 2 units from Job 30. 3 units from Job 42 and 8 units from Job 53 during the year. At the end of 2018, any underallocated or overallocated overhead is closed totally to Cost of Goods Sold.
