This assignment is part of our Database management system course, and the purpose of this assignment is to design online booking for a parking lot in university. This can increase in operational expense of schools. Over the last year, the globe has been dealing with the covid-19 epidemic. Apart from that, problems affect people from every walk of life, including university students but now everything is coming back to a new norm and students has gained the opportunity to return to campus and this online parking booking system will be a great method to organise students parking lot in university. Without having such a system, it would create a chaos among students for parking space in the parking lot as it is not well organised and not systematic. With the help of uprising technology this issue can be resolved by creating online booking system with the use of computers. To be accurate in using online system for parking booking, the methodology is based on the ER diagram. As key data modelling tools, entity relationship diagrams are used to help arrange abstract information into entities and specify their connections. The business principles for developing a comprehensive and effective ERD are presented in this paper, which generate various linkages and attributes. This relationship model is built on the notion of real-world entities and their relationships. The collection of entities is established when the real- world scenario is transformed into a database model, and their connections and attributes are particularly intended to manage data redundancy and are always effective enough to meet all the unique needs.
