Event Management for Client Conference

The objective will be managing the planning and execution of a client conference or industry event.

In terms of time Concern: Develop a detailed event timeline from pre-planning to post-event activities.

Client Focus: Regular coordination meetings with the client to align event details with their expectations.

Deliverables: Event schedule, promotional materials, attendee feedback report.

Your deliverable for this assignment will take the form of a written document with attachments. Include as much detail as possible in the written document.

Please use Project Libre or another project management software program to produce the Gantt Chart and network diagram. These should be attached separately, as indicated below.

The main document will contain at least the following elements applied to your selected project:

• Statement of work, including background on the project and project objectives (sometimes called a scope statement)
• Deliverables
• Milestones
• Limits and exclusions
• Staffing plan
• Brief introduction to the WBS (attached separately)
• Brief explanation of how estimates of task durations would be generated if this was a real project plan
• Discussion of the project's critical path and what it means for the project manager

Please include the following as one single or multiple attachments:

• Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) in outline form with a minimum of 15 tasks organized into a minimum of 4 summary task groups (probably best as a Word doc)
• Gantt Chart (Project Libre output) with at least the following information programmed in for your project:
  • Project start and finish dates
  • Task names (with summary tasks outdented)
  • Durations for each task
  • Predecessors for each task, including lags where appropriate
