On Slide 3 and Slide 5 are two theorems (stated but not proved), which are essentially what are asked. I need help deriving them. For clarity I will upload the exact questions.

It is not an incomplete question nor is there any link/graph missing. This is the proof of the theorems stated in the Slides 3 and 5 of the PPT uploaded above. And the links are working correctly, I checked. This is the past year assignment question verbatim. And these have been offered as a guide for this year's midterm.
