Using the same fairy tale from parts A and B of your ISU, you are going to imagine it as a musical production. There are 3 items to include in this part of your ISA.

You may change the original concept of the story if you wish before choosing songs and cover art, however, you must include an introduction that explains this so I understand your song choices. For example, if in the Sleeping Beauty story I wanted it to be the prince that is asleep and the princess saves him or I have it take place in Delhi, then I would choose songs that reflect that culture or role reversal theme.

1.Choose 10 songsthat would be played during your production. List the name of thesong, the artist, and at what point it would beplayed. (Describe the partof thestory, the scene it would be played in.)

For example, if I were to use Sleeping Beauty: One Kiss by DuaLipa played during the scene the prince kisses Sleeping Beauty to wake her up.

2.For 5 of these songs, explain why you chose them-how does the song represent that scene in the production.

Using the above example, I chose this song as the lyrics represent the emotion of only one kiss is all it will take to wake Sleeping Beauty and have her fall in love with the prince.

3.Create a CD coverthat would be used for release of the soundtrack from your production. You can use original drawings or graphics or take a photo. You cannot use copyrighted images, drawings or photographs. You may use an image you find on the Internet that is not copyrighted, but cite where it was found.Explain why you chose this imageto represent your soundtrack. Your cover should represent the themes of the story and mood created with your production.

For example:

I chose this image as I wanted to focus on thelove aspect of the story and thatone kiss by the prince is thehighlight of the production. It represents hope. All my songs chosen for thesoundtrackhave an element of love in them. This image was taken from https://judithmwarren.com/Renaissance/sleepingbeauty.htmlLinks to an external site.
