(-ene, -adiene, -atriene, etc.) 3. Now you can see what modifiers there are for the parent chain. What is the parent carbon chain? Will you need to add anything, ie. parent-(unsat. -suffix? wveers 4. List substituents and any R/S as well as E/Z stereochemistry 5. Label the carbon numbers of attachment next to the list of groups in a way that provides the lowest numbers. 6.
