While many republicans are convinced that Trump will be the nominee, others are hoping that more traditional candidates such as Florida Governor DeSantis can clinch the nomination. Political pundits claim that support for Trump's nomination will lose strength if he loses the New Hampshire primaries. To test their claim, we collected Trump support levels from 600 New Hampshire republicans. After Trump lost the New Hampshire primaries, we returned to the state and surveyed the same respondents for their level of Trump support one more time.
