You will write a set of instructions on how to build a paper airplane (don't laugh...it's harder than you think). Assume that your primary audience is your classmates.

The specifications Your instructions MUST (to even be accepted):

• Include a thorough introduction, with appropriate background information, safety information, and list of materials.
• Have numbered steps.
• Include at least one useful visual (the more successful documents will have at least one visual per step of the instructions).

Your instructions SHOULD (if you want to be successful):

• Have a clear and limiting title
• State a definite purpose
• Use direct address, active voice, and imperative mood
• Use logically shaped sentences
• Be phrased affirmatively
• Be chronologically ordered
• Have visuals for every (or nearly every) step
• State any needed safety information (danger, warning, caution, note)
• Be written in a technical style, maximizing use of fonts, visuals, white space, page design, and clear and effective language.
