For Further Research (Individual) Identify a small business in your community that has enjoyed a successful operation for at least 10 years. Make an appointment for your team to talk with the owners and/or managers when it is convenient for them. With your team, develop a list of questions to ask. These might include why and when they started the business, the greatest challenges for them in the beginning, the greatest challenges for them now, if they had a marketing plan and whether they think a marketing plan is helpful to a new small business. Make a written report and give a presentation to your class on your findings.
