Identify and review a case study on a recent disease outbreak or humanitarian emergency that also led to public health consequences. Discuss the case study in light of the models and concepts being covered in the “The Case for Community Mobilization and Citizen Engagement in Risk and Emergency Communication” section of this chapter. Focus on how you will attempt to apply such concepts and models in developing key questions and strategies for community consultation and mobilization within the context of the case study you have selected.
