For my Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Financial Management studies, this book arrived free and in good shape. I’ve only read some parts so far, but it’s okay—not super exciting or super detailed. The explanations aren’t too confusing, which helps since the topic can get tricky fast. It’s alright if you want something to get the basic idea, but I feel like it could be a bit deeper for what I need. The paper quality is decent, nothing special though. Not blown away but it does what I expected and should be fine for my classes.

Since my uni professor mentioned it last week, I hunted down this financial statements book—which, lucky me, came totally free. Took maybe two days to show up and the cover looked crisp, no bent corners or anything. Flipped open Chapter 5, which dives into the cash flow statements—it was kind of a relief since I always mixed it up with profit figures before. The chapter gave examples that made things click a little better; the layout wasn't cramped, so it didn't make my brain hurt trying to figure out the parts. There was that "oh wait" moment when it showed how cash inflows and outflows affect a company's health differently from just profitability, never thought that detail was so important. I even think this could help me keep track when handling chores of our small family business finances—seeing money coming in and out on paper makes me less clueless. On the down side, sometimes it felt a bit slow—like, more real life cases would help cause the textbook stuck mostly to straightforward numbers and not much on tricky situations you hear about in the news. All in all though, it's a good start if you’re new to stuff like this. Worth grabbing if you manage to get a free copy or lightly need help wrapping your head around these reports. Oh and the pages don’t feel cheap either, so that’s cool. I’d tell anyone who's fumbling with financial buzzwords to give chapter 5 a shot, at least to get some clarity on cash flows.
