In an 110 CHAPTER 6 Experiments in the Real World experiment, cakes made from the mix are baked at 300◦F, 320◦F, or 340◦F and either for 1 hour or for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Ten cakes are baked at each combination of temperature and time. A panel of tasters scores each cake for texture and taste.
