4 The following list of statements are assumed to have a bearing on how entrepreneurs think and act and be components in an entrepreneurial mindset.

Examine them one at a time and explore if and why they explain something essential in the entrepreneur’s mode of thinking and acting – their modus operandi.

Entrepreneurs:

see opportunities where others see problems;

•

have a questioning mindset that goes beyond the obvious;

•

exhibit a willingness to fail and learn;

•

feel comfortable in a state of uncertainty and complexity;

•

have a capacity to make sound judgements under uncertainty;

•

trust their experienced-based intuition;

•

imagine and visualize futures that do not yet exist;

•

exhibit a passion for collaboration and networking;

•

are masters in handling uncertainty and risk;

•

think they can and therefore they do;

•

tend to endure until the goal is reached;

•

get over setbacks quickly and move on.
