Once the timer reaches zero, the microwave switches off the magnetron. If any stage of the cooking processes the door is opened, the microwave switches off the magnetron. The cooking process can be resumed by pressing the start button or new time can be provided. The closing the door after it has opened does not resume the cooking process.
