• Go to FL Charts at http://www.flhealthcharts.com/charts/default.aspx(Links to an external site.)
• Look down the left menu for "Health Indicators"
• Select from: Reportable & Infectious Diseases, Chronic Diseases, Injury & Violence or Social & Behavioral Health
• Select a disease or condition (whatever one you like!)
• Below the one you chose, click on "deaths"
• This will take you to the statistics for the deaths caused by that disease or condition.
• Go to the upper left region of the page and select Palm Beach County.
• Now, look at the two tables at the bottom of the page.
• Answer the following

1. How many deaths or cases in most recent year? What was the rate of deaths? How was that figure calculated?
2. Is this rate higher or lower than previous years?
3. Which county had the highest rate of deaths or cases in the most recent year?
4. How does Palm Beach County number of deaths compare with other counties?
5. How does Palm Beach County rate of deaths compare with Florida rate?
