One challenge student affairs professionals face is demonstrating qualitative outcomes in a quantitative manner. This is necessary to validate the effectiveness of the work of student affairs and justify to administration the costs, both in resources and personnel, required to continue that work. In most institutions of higher education, student affairs is charged with creating a healthy and successful campus community. Carrying out this charge requires a strong team environment within student affairs, but it must be balanced with efficiency and productivity.

Based on research and experience at the field experience site, word reflection that describes the benefits of teams who exhibit both efficiency and community.
