• Reports will be submitted online through the Assignments menu tab in MySeneca by the specified due date.

• Write report in standard report style (see the sample posted). Write in complete sentences and use paragraph breaks where appropriate. Use correct grammar, spelling, and syntax, and be sure to use proper report headings. Include a cover page, proper table of contents and bibliography and in-text citations.
  • Provide some background information on the company you chose

Description

In groups of 4-5 people, select a hospitality or tourism company that you will use and analyse for the remainder of the group projects throughout the semester. This is the first of 3 group project reports and will provide the basis for your future projects.

The questions listed below should be considered prompts, not an exhaustive list, and are designed to help you with the completion of your report. Include any additional information that you think will add value to your report. You must demonstrate a high level of thinking and analysis, clarity of thought and overall organization and professionalism.

Some Things to Include and Consider:

• Research the current offering or products of this firm and indicate how they provide value to their customers
• What is their current mission statement?
• Based on your company research, analyze the information and comment on what you perceive to be the firm's current strategy or strategies and explain your reasoning.
• What is the firm's current market positioning?
• Give an overview of the company's competitive environment

Spelling and grammar do count so make sure that you leave enough time to have someone review your project to help you fix any problems.

If you find information from another source, be sure to cite your sources accordingly with a proper Bibliography AND an in-text citations. Each outside source that you use must be cited as both an in-text citation AND in the bibliography.
