Research on one of the topics below as related to the fictional business you've developed for this course or something you've identified in a current or past workplace.

If you focus on the business you've developed in the Profile assignment and it is a sole proprietorship, imagine the report is a requirement for a business grant you really want!

If you choose to write about a current or past workplace, change identifying features so it isn't recognizable.  

The information presented in your report must be supported by at least two reliable sources, which are identified and cited in your paper. The sources must be from professional journals, conference sessions, white papers, or authoritative online sources. 

• The risks of going more social. Your company is deciding whether or not to up its social media presence. Gather information on what social channels could be used and any risks involved in each and/or overall. What kinds of challenges have other similar companies faced using various social media? How can problems be prevented, and if not prevented, do the potential benefits outweigh the risks?
   
• Researching social media platforms for your organization. Your organization has a solid webpage, but is ready to branch out and use social media. Explore which social platforms exist, which are best suited to your organization, and why your selection(s) are the best way forward.
   
• Encouraging employees to use LinkedIn: Yes? No? Your partner or boss just told you about a webinar they saw that said LinkedIn is a great way to stay on top of business trends. Your boss was surprised because she thought LinkedIn was simply an employment tool. Write a report discussing the potential of using LinkedIn for your organization for more than just looking at job postings. Who are the influencers on LinkedIn in your organizational field? What do they post about? Is it easy to contact people with questions? Useful? Are there groups to join? Could LinkedIn be a resource for your organization?
   
• An Internet Policy Report: Your organization needs an internet policy and you've been tasked with providing a report with recommendations on establishing an one. What are the current best practices around developing such a thing? What policies are important, what format do they take, and how are they implemented and then managed?
