1. Once you've opened the file, select "Data" from the menu bar.
2. Once "Data" has been selected, click on the "Data Analysis" button located on the right-hand side of the menu bar.
3. From the drop down menu, select, "Descriptive Statistics". Click "OK"
4. In the dialog box, select the "Input Range". Next, highlight your data. Next, using the dialog box, select "Output Range". The output range represents where you want the descriptive statistics to be displayed. Choose to have the statistics displayed in cell D6.
5. While in the dialog box, select "Summary Statistics" by placing a check mark in the box to the left.
6. Click "OK"
Your Descriptive Statistics should now be displayed. You will find a number of statistics describing the data.
