The aim is to implement an inventory tracking web service. Client can request information about the inventory or a single item. Service provider provides services to enable clients accessing the information by implementing SOAP or RESTful web services. Client will consume the service and present the information to end user. Use the environment or programming language of your choice to develop, deploy and run the application. The quality of your product will be based on how much detail you model the design and the level of completeness of your design and the developed product I Requirements . . Proposal must be submitted and the proposed work must be agreed with subject lecturer, Accomplishment of tasks, include QCUD (Query, Create, Update and Delete operations) Well-written, commented and maintained code Generate web service application for service provider and consumer using SOAP or RESTful Web service for Client Application to consume Web Services. Generate test plan to test both traditional web application and Web Services Document the work. Produce a brief report by providing the overview of the web service application including the goals, overview of the design including database design and implementation. Report may also need to justify the testing process by including proper test plan of the web service application Conduct a 10 minutes demonstration, The following stages should be read carefully: Stage 1 - Proposal and Design in Report Due date: Deliverable: Report in softcopy a) Collect the related information and conduct literature review. Analyze and define the requirements for the application. b) Generate a project plan with task breakdown, effort allocation and planning. c) Design documentation of the web application e.g. use case diagram, class diagram/entity relation diagram. Stage 2 - Development of Web Application for Web Service Due date: Deliverable: Report in softcopy The deliverables of this stage would be a COMPLETED and TESTED traditional web application for service provider user and SOAP or RESTful Web service for Client Application to consume Web Services. Generate test plan to test the Web Services and Web Service Client. Produce a brief report by providing: The overview of the web service application including the background, problem statement and goals. Overview of the design and implementation. The testing process by including the test plan (from stage 2) of the web service application Conclusion - student's findings from the web service created, discussion of the challenges and future enhancements.
