Figures 16.8a and 16.8b clearly demonstrate how the estimate of the covariance matrix impacts the quality of the adaptive null. In Section 16.3 (see Eq. (16.71)), a technique was described for estimating and improving the quality of the covariance matrix. Modify the MATLAB code “adaptive_array_lms.m” or develop your own code to implement Eq. (16.71). Briefly discuss how the quality of the adaptive null has been improved.
