ASSIgnment instructions: Assignment 1 is to be completed individually, using the tools learned in this course. You will construct a one-page written assignment using the tools available to you on your own computing device. Preferred application would be Microsoft Office Suite which is also available online. Once you have decided on the type of clean technology, think of the main purpose of this technology or how that technology solve a human problem like reduce energy consumption, promote a greener environment or benefitting humanity. So, you must gather sufficient information to write about clean technology. I encourage you to utilize the resources provided by the SFU library or other scholastic media online. Limit your sources to within the current past five months. You can use as many resources as you like but I suggest at least three scholastic resources. The clean technology can be either a concept or an adaptation that has changed how we do things. The source can also be a printed article from the local newspaper or from a magazine that you have read, But these articles must be current. There are lots of printed documents available around us. You can easily pick up a copy of the day's newspaper to read about something new in the tech space. Or just logon to SFU elibrary, youtube, TEDx or any other multimedia scholastic sites to find an interesting topic. Once you have found your source, the content is entirely yours to decide. You can reproduce a written summary, critique, or an opinion piece but limit to one page of content. No direct copy and paste allowed. Produce at least three paragraphs in the body area of the written document. A paragraph must contain three to four sentences within a five line-paragraph. Prepare a one-page write-up with a cover page. And submit via Moodle. The submission link should be the only option for the assignment submission. Email and other forms of submission will not be graded. Important: It is compulsory to complete this assignment on your own. If you are caught cheating, getting someone else to prepare the assignment for you, and being dishonest in your work, marks may be deducted for first time offenders. Even a submitted piece of assignment that is beyond your capability will raise suspicion and can be an offence. And, if you are a repeated offender, I will direct you to the advisor and straight away fail you for the course. You may seek support with the peer educator to proof-read your report but need to provide the peer educator's name in the reference page. MacBook Air
